Owls at the Pacama

Pacama is populated with a number of barred owls, and under a tree near the edge of the Vly wetland one has left us the remnants of its dinner as evidence. Owls perch on a tree limb to eat their catch -- voles, mice, etc. Several hours later, the owls regurgitate pellets that contain the undigested hair and bones of their prey. The pellets are found scattered on the ground near the base of the tree.
